If the newer Netscape browsers does not have as its default application
"AcroExch,"
install your Acrobat Reader as follows:
1) Open up Netscape's
Edit---->
preferences ----> select "Helper Applications---->
click
"New types" ------> in the box MIME type,
enter "Application," ----> in the box "Description",
enter "apd" (which stands for Adobe portable
document), -----> in the box Extension: enter "pdf "
2) Select the
line with "Open it with."
3)
Click "choose."
4) Go to the
file on your computer hard drive where the Adobe Reader application is
located and select it: in Reader, select the red and
white AcroRd32
5)
Click "OK."
Warning: Once the import is done,
don't reset the Netscape navigators (7.2) 's
acroexch
or AcroRd32 setting
. Otherwise, Browser 8 wuod lose its connection with &.Netscape navigators (7.2) 's acroexch
or AcroRd32 setting and fail
to open pdf documents. When tht happens, deinstall Browser
8, and re-download from Java-enabled
browser, click here.
